Our journey began with a moment of real frustration. Watching Leonardo DiCaprio’s Before the Flood and listening to Dr. Avinash Dharmadhikari opened our eyes to just how much damage plastic waste is causing around the world. We knew we couldn’t ignore the problem as the planet kept getting hotter.

As engineering students, we loved building things, taking on tough projects, and challenging the old way of thinking. But none of our early projects felt as important as the mission we chose together: real solutions for a cleaner world.

When we first discovered biodegradable plastics, we thought importing them would be enough. We soon realized most options simply didn’t work or only solved part of the problem. Instead of settling, we dove into research, running experiments, and learning from scientists who inspired us to do better.

In 2019, after months of hard work, we created our first batch of compostable plastic that truly made us hopeful. That was the spark TGP was built on—a commitment to offering real, effective compostable plastics that help business and nature thrive side by side.
